MI vs RR: Mumbai Indians will square up against Rajasthan Royals in the 24th match of IPL 2021 on Thursday. The fans of both sides aren’t too pleased with their performances at the moment. Both the sides have won 2 games out of five and would be keen to improve their performances in the coming games.
Mumbai Indians have been exhibiting substandard performances so far in the tournament. On a sluggish wicket at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Mumbai’s middle-order looked clueless. They would be happy that they no longer have to play on the pitch. They now have shifted their base to Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. However, the Delhi stadium too offers quite similar conditions as Chepauk. The batsmen have to adapt well to the conditions or Mumbai’s campaign might well go downhill from here. They are coming into the game on the back of two successive losses and would want to get back to winning ways.
Rajasthan Royals would take a lot of confidence from the last win against Kolkata Knight Riders. Sanju Samson played a brilliant match-winning knock to guide the team to a 6-wicket victory. Though, there are quite a few concerns in the batting department. Jos Buttler hasn’t yet taken the world by storm in the tournament. For Rajasthan to continue their winning streak, he has to fire at the top of the order. It isn’t easy to beat a team like Mumbai Indians and Jos Buttler would be aware of how important his contribution would be in the game.
