RCB vs PBKS: Royal Challengers Bangalore will play against Punjab Kings in the 26th match of IPL 2021 on Friday. Both sides have had a contrasting season so far. Royal Challengers Bangalore have played like champions in the tournament so far. They have won 5 games in 6 matches and thus are sitting at second on the points table.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Royal Challengers Bangalore perhaps have overcome their death over woes, thanks to the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel. The duo has perfected the art of bowling in the death overs. Harshal Patel has the purple cap with him. He has given the wicket every time he has come to the bowl. There is no doubt that Harshal Patel is currently in the form of his life.
RCB’s batting too has been contributing equally well. It’s not that just one player is performing and winning the game. Every game, a new player has stood up and helped the team get across the line. AB de Villiers though has done it on too many occasions.
The top-four comprising of AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli all have been in good form and it is a big positive for them. RCB would be keen to earn their sixth win on Friday and consolidate their chances of making it into the playoffs.
Punjab Kings have blown hot and cold in the tournament so far. They have come nearly halfway through their campaign and KL Rahul and Co. have only managed to win 2 games so far. Poor run from the middle order is affecting the team badly. David Malan should come into the eleven to strengthen the batting department. KL Rahul too needs to take responsibility to play a big knock to overcome the RCB challenge. The bowlers are doing a decent job but the batting needs to step up if Punjab has to bring their campaign back to the track.
