Ace Kerala batsman Rohan Kunnummal is going through a sensational patch in his professional career. The frontline batsman successfully made it into India A squad for the Bangladesh test series after a sizzling performance in the domestic circuit.

Rohan Kunnummal has certainly impressed the national selectors as well as the team management. He is Kerala’s leading run scorer in the ongoing edition of the Vijay Hazare trophy with 414 runs in his kitty. However, Kerala will, unfortunately, miss his services in the much-anticipated knockouts as the star batsman will fly for the test series in Bangladesh that is scheduled to start on November 29.

Notably, Rohan Kunnummal has established himself as a three-format player with splendid performances in Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In wake of the mini IPL auctions that are scheduled to take place on December 23 in Kochi, all eyes will be on the youngster who has already kicked off his preparations.

Rohan Kunnummal attended training sessions with multiple IPL franchises

Kunnummal had recently addressed the media and confirmed that he had attended the selection simulations for multiple IPL franchises such as the Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. He further added that Sanju Samson, Kerala skipper, had taken a few of his teammates to the Rajasthan Royals camp for a selection simulation.

Interestingly, Kunnummal had a fabulous stint at the Rajasthan Royals and the Delhi Capitals camp. However, he stated that it all relies on the franchise about their interest and selection. However, reports claimed that Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson will likely back the batsman.

Rohan Kunnummal had a glittery breakthrough in the Ranji Trophy 2022. He smashed three consecutive centuries in the group stage and went on to smash the fourth one for South Zone at the Duleep Trophy. It will be interesting to find out whether he is provided with an opportunity to lead India A team.
