England pacer Jofra Archer has spoken about how challenging it has been to spend the time under the bio-secure bubble. The 25-year-old threw light on the mental challenges and how energy-draining it has been to stay away from home and play continuously.

Some England players including Tom Banton, Dawid Malan & Jofra Archer may play in the upcoming season of the Big Bash League. In fact, Archer has signed the contract with the Hobart Hurricanes last week after some rumours.

England cricket team has had quite a hectic schedule ever since they resumed playing cricket in July. They first played against West Indies, followed by the ODI series against Ireland. In August they hosted Pakistan for three-match Test and as many T20I matches series. Currently, they are playing in a the white-ball series against Australia.

Archer cited that players merely got not more than nine days of break outside the bubble between their schedule.

“I’ll tell you, it has been mentally challenging. We’ve been in here for 16 weeks or something like that. I think it is going to be more rare going home or being normal again. Here it has become the new norm. We’ll just have to adjust again when we get some time off.” the pacer said.

After the ODI series against Australia, Archer will fly to the UAE and join his team Rajasthan Royals for the 13th edition of the IPL.

Rajasthan Royals will face Chennai Super Kings in their first match of the season on September 22 at Sharjah.
