Riding on an outstanding partnership from Brandon King and Kennar Lewis, Tallawahs notched a mammoth total of 183 runs in the first innings. The duo added 116 runs and set the foundation for a big score on the board. Brandon King scored 89 runs in 57 deliveries, while Kennar Lewis amassed 48 runs in 46 balls.
Skipper Rovman Powell then played an unbeaten cameo of 30 runs in 15 balls to take the team to a brilliant score. In reply, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots managed only 136 runs on the board. It was a collective effort with the ball from Tallahwas which helped the team register a win. Nicholson Gordon starred with the ball, claiming 3 for 32 in 4 overs, while Imad Wasim and Pretorius picked 2 wickets each.
Heading into the next game, they would be looking to continue the winning momentum. Facing them are Guyana Amazon Warriors, who are playing their first match of the tournament. They finished at the second position last year, managing 6 wins and 4 losses from 10 matches. Nicholas Pooran top-scored for them, smashing 263 runs at a strike rate of 163.
