Sri lanka’s Kusal Mendis has been release don bail after he ran over a 65-year-old while riding a motorbike in Panadura.

Panadura Additional Magistrate granted Kusal Mendis a bail on two conditions – he will pay one million Sri Lankan rupees to the victim’s family by Monday, who succumbed to his injuries and passed away, and his driving license will be temporarily suspended.
The next court hearing is scheduled on September 9. Sri Lanka Cricket is yet to comment on the incident.
Mendis has represented Sri Lanka in 44 Tests, 76 ODIs and 26 T20Is, and was part of the Sri Lankan squad that underwent a training camp in Pallekele earlier in the week.
