LNS-W vs BPH-W: The 30th match of The Hundred 2022 will have London Spirit take on Birmingham Phoenix at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London. London Spirit is sitting at the second spot on the points table with 5 wins in 7 matches. They are coming into the tournament on the back of a 6-wicket defeat against Oval Invincibles. In 100 balls, London Spirit scored 122 runs against them in the first innings.

A Rossington smashed 36 runs in 22 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six. J Thompson, on the other hand, scored 27 runs in 19 balls, a knock which was laced with 2 fours and 1 six. As for Oval Invincibles, Sam Curran finished with figures of 3 for 16 in 20 balls.

Oval Invincibles chased down the score in 86 balls. Ahead of their next game, London Spirit would be looking to win the game and come back to winning ways.

On the other hand, Birmingham Phoenix has 4 wins in 7 matches and would be looking to register their fifth win. Manchester Originals scored 154 runs in the first innings against Birmingham Phoenix in the last match. Howell returned with an outstanding spell of 3 for 18 in 20 balls. However, the other bowlers couldn’t inspire a lot of confidence in Phoenix. The likes of Helm, Richardson and Brooks need to step up the plate as well.

Birmingham Phoenix lost in its last outing

Birmingham Phoenix, in pursuit of the run-chase, were folded for just 75 runs on the board. Will Smeed played a handy knock of 31 runs in 17 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes. However, the likes of Moeen Ali (4), Benjamin (13), and Wade (7) all failed to hit the straps.

Barring Will Smeed and Benjamin, none of the batters could score in double-digits. They would look to showcase a better performance with the bat in the next game.
