The third season of the Women’s T20 Challenge is all set to commence from November 4 in the United Arab Emirates. As many as three teams will participate in the tournament spanning between November 4-9 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Supernovas captain Harmanpreet Kaur said she is really looking forward to getting back on the field after so many months of hiatus. Women’s T20 Challenge will also mark the return of the women’s cricket in India in what is called women’s IPL.

The other two teams Trailblazers and Velocity will be led by Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj respectively.

“I know it has been a long time since we played cricket but I am very excited that we are getting to play it. We all are very thankful to the BCCI and everyone involved for organising this tournament,” Kaur said during a virtual conference.

“I am very excited. I am not thinking too much. Sitting at home is more painful. I am really looking forward to it,” she said.
