The Maharaja Trophy KSCA 2022 is the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) latest T20 tournament introduced as a replacement for the Karnataka Premier League (KPL). KPL, which ran for eight seasons until 2019, was forced to an end by a combination of a match-fixing scandal and the COVID-19 epidemic.

KSCA is organising the T20 cricket tournament in the memory of former President of KSCA and Maharaja of Mysore – HRH late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.

The tournament, which started on August 7 and will run till August 26, will be held across two cities, Mysore and Bengaluru. The first 18 games of the league will be contested at the Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Ground in Mysore, followed by 16 matches, including the playoffs, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Maharaja Trophy KSCA 2022 Teams

A total of six teams will be participating in the tournament. These include Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters, Hubli Tigers, Gulbarga Mystics, Mangalore United, Shivamogga Strikers, and Mysore Warriors

The teams will engage in ten matches across the tournament, each team taking on every side twice. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs.
