Stuart Broad has been in an astounding form in England’s ongoing three-match Test series against West Indies. He was left out of the team in the first Test match at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. England lost the match by four wickets.
Broad was included in the second test match where he silenced his critics by taking six wickets, three in each innings at the Old Trafford in Manchester. Owing to his contribution and also the overall team effort, England managed to win the match by 113 runs and levelled the series to 1-1. In the third and deciding match, which is currently in progress in Manchester itself, Broad again showed his class with both bat as well as the ball. He scored 62 runs off 45 balls, in the first innings.
He contributed nine fours and a six. The innings drove the Brits to a rational score of 369. Thereafter with the ball in hand, he picked up six wickets for 31 runs only, bundling the Caribbeans out for 197. Then at the end of the third day’s play, Broad got a couple of more wickets. On the fourth day, Broad is just one wicket away from 500 Test wickets.
In the time being, Mollie King, Broad’s girlfriend, is awfully pleased with the fast bowler. The 33-year-old uploaded a picture where she can be seen, giving a kiss on Broad’s cheeks. She congratulated the 34-year-old pacer on the incredible show.
She captioned the picture and wrote, “So unbelievably proud of you today @stuartbroad8 (even more than usual)! Can’t wait to watch the next few days, so exciting! Come on England,”
The speedster responded by asking her out for a date. The Englishman tried to guess the place where the picture was taken. Broad replied to King and wrote, “Barcelona? Favourite restaurant.”
Apparently, Broad and King have been dating each other since early 2018. Broad is currently England’s second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket after James Anderson.
