Neil Wagner to feature for Yorkshire in a 10-game stint

Ace New Zealand paceman Neil Wagner has been roped in by Yorkshire to feature for the first ten games at the upcoming edition of County Championship 2023. Wagner has been a consistent part of England’s premier domestic County Championship and will likely play a crucial role in the association with Yorkshire.

Neil Wagner has previously represented the Lancashire and Essex county clubs. Wagner has also been a part of the triumphant Essex side which emerged victorious in the 2017 season. His scintillating performance with the red ball has truly grabbed the attention of Yorkshire who is aiming for an upward deviation after a humiliating last season.

Neil Wagner will join Yorkshire ahead of their inaugural County Championship fixture against Lancashire on April 6. He will spend the summer in England and feature for a total of ten games for the emerging side. Wagner will probably lead the bowling attack taking into consideration his paramount experience.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing my cricket in England and to be getting this opportunity again at such a big club like Yorkshire CCC is a great honour. I feel like I can offer a lot to the team with my experience, attitude and skill set, so I can’t wait to get going. I want to be a big part of helping move the team back up into Division One,” Wagner said.

Neil Wagner has a spirited record with the red ball where he has scalped 246 wickets in 59 matches. He also bowls with a bankable and reliable economy.
