Netherlands vs NZ: The second T20 international between the Netherlands and New Zealand has been rescheduled to 5th August 2022. Earlier, the match was slated to be played on 6th August 2022. However, now, it will be played a day earlier than the original date.
Following the cancellation of a connecting aircraft, both the Royal Dutch Cricket Association and the New Zealand Cricket have agreed to change the dates. Notable, the movie has also impacted the Blackcaps’ travel to the West Indies for three T20 internationals and as many one-day internationals, starting 10th August 2022.
As a result, the remaining two T20 internationals will now be played on the 4th and 5th of August 2022, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.
New Zealand is currently on a tour of Europe. They first played against England in a Test series in May. Unfortunately, the Blackcaps lost the series 3-0. They, then, travelled to Ireland for three one-day internationals and currently lead the three-match T20I series 1-0.
After the tour of Ireland, New Zealand will be playing two T20 internationals and one ODI against Scotland before leaving for the Netherlands.
With the postponement of their second Twenty20 International against the Netherlands, New Zealand will have only a four-day break between that match and the first Twenty20 International against the West Indies in Jamaica. Due to the hectic schedule, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has been changing its lineup throughout the European trip.
Senior players such as Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, and Devon Conway featured in the Test series against England. They have been rested for the series against Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands. The board has also allowed Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, and Jacob Duffy to go back home after the ongoing series against Ireland.
