AUS vs PAK: Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on his YouTube channel, claiming that the present management lacked a vision for future planning.
Australia, having won the three-match Test series 1-0, has continued their good form on their current tour to Pakistan. The visitors grabbed a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series on Tuesday after defeating the hosts by 88 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. While the Australian squad continues to be lauded by the cricketing community, Pakistan has once again come under fire from various present and former players.
“There is no lack of talent and resources. But, we’ve suddenly become terrible in planning, strategy, and vision. And I’m not talking about planning for a match, it’s about how we plan our next years. How are we planning our route to the World Cup(s)? When we play 6-9 ODIs annually as compared to 50 T20Is in the same period, this will continue to happen,” said Butt.
AUS vs PAK: On Tuesday, Australia delivered an outstanding all-round effort in the first One-Day International (ODI) against Pakistan. The Australians defeated Pakistan by 88 runs to take a 1-0 series lead. Australia scored 313 runs in the first innings, led by an excellent century from Travis Head. Travis Head set the tone with a 101-run home drive off 72 pitches.

He finished the game with statistics of 2 for 44 runs in 8 overs. Zahid Mahmood also took two wickets but allowed 59 runs in his ten overs.
Chasing a big total, Pakistan lost Fakhar Zaman (18 off 18) early in the fifth over. However, Imam Ul Haq then stitched an outstanding 96-run partnership for the second wicket to keep them in the chase. Imam Ul Haq went on to score 103 runs in 96 balls, while Babar Azam managed to score 57 runs in 72 balls.
