Australia vs West Indies Match Preview: Australia and West Indies will play the third T20 international at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. West Indies has won the first two games, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series, while Australia is yet to open their account. West Indies would be keen to win the third game and thereby seal the series.
The hosts have been nothing short of outstanding in all the departments thus far. Despite the top order not clicking, the Men from the Caribbean notched a mammoth 196-run total in the first innings in the last game. The decision to promote Dwayne Bravo worked well for the Windies, as he played an unbeaten 47 runs off 34 balls. However, it was Shimron Hetmyer who stole the show with the bat. He came back to form in sensational fashion, scoring 61 off 36 balls, including four sixes and 2 fours. Andre Russell also chipped in with 8-ball 25 in the final few overs.
Australian skipper, Aaron Finch is yet to cross the double-digit mark in the tournament. For Australia to make a turnaround in the series, Finch needs to come good in the third T20 internationals. Mitchell Marsh, who is batting at number three, is the only bright spot for Australia in the batting departments. He has scored consecutive half-centuries in the series and would be keen to score another one on Monday.
The biggest concern for them, however, has been the underwhelming performances from the lower middle-order. The likes of Chrisitan and Henriques should do well if Australia wants to make a comeback in the series.
Josh Hazlewood has been their pick of the bowlers. However, Mitchell Starc is yet to pick a single wicket and has conceded a lot of runs in two games. The spinners too haven’t got a lot of wickets. Problems are aplenty for Australia at the moment as they need to come out with a collective performance to turn their fortunes around.

A new pitch has been prepared for the third T20I of the series. The previous pitches have been more favourable for the bowlers, and this pitch also promises the same, especially for the pacers. Batters may get some desired outcomes as well, contrary to the previous matches.
