Facing them are Sydney Thunder, who are in blistering form right now. Sydney Thunder are currently sitting at the second spot and have not lost a single match in their last five encounters. Sydney Thunder played their last game against Melbourne Renegades and won that by a massive margin of 129 runs. Riding on sensational knocks from Alex Hales (63 off 28) and Daniel Sams (98 off 44), Sydney Thunders notched a massive score of 209 runs on the board in the first innings.
In reply, Melbourne Renegades were bowled out for just 80 runs. Young Pakistan seamer, Mohammad Hasnain was brilliant with the ball as he picked 3 wickets for 22 runs in 3.2 overs, while Gurinder Sandhu and Jason Sangha picked 2 wickets each. Ahead of their next game against the Hobarts, Sydney Thunder would look to register their sixth consecutive win and consolidate their position on the points table.
