On Thursday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a hike in the monthly pay scale of the Bangladesh Women Team cricketers by 20 per cent. The board has also increased the players’ match fee, as confirmed by Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, the chairman of the women’s wing.
BCB approved the salary raise of contracted women cricketers during the last board meeting on June 15, their 10th executive meeting. The new salaries will be applicable from this month itself.
Nadel had informed earlier that they had proposed to the board for a pay hike of the international match fees of the women cricketers along with the salary raise.
Previously, the national women’s team players received USD 100 for a one-day international match and USD 75 for a Twenty20 match.
However, now with the increase in pay scale, they will receive USD 300 for each ODI, triple the previous amount and USD 150 for every T20 match they play, which is double what they got earlier.

Furthermore, BCB has increased the number of nationally contracted players in the women’s category. given national. This time around, it has given contracts to 22 women cricketers, classifying them into four categories.

Since the fees have been bumped up by 20 per cent, now they will receive- BDT 60000(A category), BDT 48000(B category), BDT 36000 (C category) and BDT 25000(D category).
