England’s vice captain Ben Stokes has been preparing really hard ahead of the Test series against Pakistan starting from August 5.
Ben Stokes, 29 was seen rolling his arms in the nets ahead of the first test match at Old Trafford from Wednesday. The all-rounder is actually striving for his fitness and also that he didn’t bowl in the third test against West Indies due to his quad injury.
Instead he played as the batsman and didn’t contribute with the ball. It is still unclear if he will bowl against Pakistan, but he is also showing positive signs of his recovery.
Stokes bowled to Zak Crawley during the practice session and also released the balls at a good pace as well. And if he gets to bowl against Pakistan in the test series, England could pick an additional batsman probably Zak Crawley. England’s pace attack led by Stuart Broad who is himself in a peak phase of his form along with James Anderson and Jofra Archer.
The first test will begin from August 5 at the Old Trafford in Manchester followed by the second test from August 13-17.
