CPL 2021: Caribbean Premier League franchise on Friday released the list of all the players they have retained for the upcoming season.
Barbados Tridents had a disastrous campaign in CPL 2020 where they finished second from the bottom in the points table. They could only manage three wins out of ten matches while losing seven of them leading to a disappointing outing.
However, this time around they have come up with a list of retained players who will continue to play for the side in CPL 2021. The Tridents have retained skipper Jason Holder along with nine other players who will represent the side even this season.
Opener Johnson Charles remains one of the retainers while 2019 campaign hero Hayden Walsh Jr also secures his place. Other players retained are wicket-keeper Shai Hope, Kyle Mayers, Justin Greaves, Joshua Bishop, and Nyeem Young.

CPL 2021 to begin August 28
The franchise also confirmed that they a total of eight places is left in the squad will be announced next week. The upcoming edition of the CPL will take place entirely in St. Kitts & Nevis with all the matches including finals to be played there.
The ninth edition of the CPL will get underway from August 28 this year. The tournament will begin just four days after the completion of the West Indies’ home summer season.
