Ajinkya Rahane set the tone early with a solid 34-ball 44-run knock. Sam Billings made a crucial contribution of 20 off 19 balls, while Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 20 off 19 balls.

Umesh Yadav, with his destructive bowling, made the game all the more easier for the Shreyas Iyer-led outfit to win by containing runs, while also decapitating the top order of the CSK batting line-up. He returned figures of 4-0-20-2 in the game.
