CSK vs RR IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings registered a comprehensive win against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium on Monday. The duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali were indeed the match-winners of CSK as they shared five wickets by taking advantage of the dew factor.
Not just that, fielding efforts from CSK players also played a very crucial role in pulling off a win against Sanju Samson’s underperforming side.
Ravindra Jadeja stood out to be the star performer for CSK as he not took two wickets but also took four crucial catches. The all rounder failed to make any impact with the bat but his match-turning catches that too off Jaydev Unadkat’s in the deep was one of the best.
Following his brilliant catch was his exhilarated celebration indicating the “Call me” gesture. Watch the video here!
The netizens were in awe of Jadeja’s brilliance as he showed his prowess on the field. With the ball he took 2/28 in four overs including the wicket of dangerous looking Joss Buttler (49 runs) and Shivam Dube (17 runs).
Apart from Jadeja, England all-rounder Moeen Ali starred for CSK with his all round performance. He scored 26 runs with the bat and took three crucial wickets of Riyan Parag, Chris Morris and David Miller.
For that, he was adjudged the player of the match on which he reacted, “My job here is to try and score as many runs for the team and get a good start. When I went up the order, it wasn’t any easy wicket and I’m pleased with both the departments. I thought as a team we played really well and everyone contributed.”
The Wankhede pitch offered dew unlike the previous matches that helped CSK to deploy spinners from both the ends. As a result, Rajasthan Royals’ batsmen surrendered and lost their second game in three matches.
