England has produced some of the prolific cricketers in the white-ball format of the game in the last few years. And that has led to them winning the 2019 World Cup for the first time in the history of any ICC hosted tournament.
Apparently, batsmen including Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan are already in talks with some Big Bash League teams for a contract. The stylish opener Bairstow is currently in the talking process with the Melbourne Stars for the upcoming season of the BBL. While his teammates Roy and Malan are still in talks with some BBL franchises for the deal.
“There has been some contact with one of the clubs. That’s still ongoing at the moment so hopefully, we can finish and finalise that soon and hopefully that can get announced. I don’t know if I’m allowed yet [to say which club], so I’ll sit on the fence with that one.” Dawid Malan said.
Dawid Malan has been impressive in the white-ball cricket ever since the cricket has resumed after the coronavirus pandemic. Owing to his form, he could very well nail a deal with any franchise for the 10th edition of the BBL.
As of now, only Tom Banton and Tom Curran are the only England players with an active contract with their respective BBL teams. But this year, the BBL teams have shown interest in acquiring more England players as Alex Hales could join Sydney Thunders.
While, Hobart Hurricanes have shown a keen interest in the star pacer Jofra Archer for the upcoming season.
England cricket team have had pretty hectic schedule since their comeback from the coronavirus lockdown. They have so far played against West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland and currently they are playing against Australia in the white-ball series.
