England vs Pakistan: After losing the first T20 international, the England Cricket Team have made a roaring comeback in the T20 series. They won the second T20 international quite comfortably by 45 runs.
Having missed out on the first T20I due to injury, Jos Buttler gave England a fierce start, even though they lost two wickets at the start. Buttler scored 59 runs off 39 balls. For the first time in T20 internationals, Moeen Ali was sent up the order and he made full use of the opportunity.
The southpaw hit 6 fours and 1 six en-route to his 16-ball 36. Liam Livingston continued his good form with the bat as he smashed 38 runs off just 23 balls at a strike rate of over 160. England eventually made 200 in 19.5 overs.
Babar Azam got the start but couldn’t convert it into a big score on Sunday. Rizwan got a useful 37 off 29. The top three got starts but couldn’t capitalize as wickets kept falling in regular intervals.
The middle-order couldn’t replicate the last game’s performance as Pakistan managed only 155 in 20 overs, thereby handing a 45-run win to the hosts. Saqib Mahmood continued his great form in the series, picking 3 wickets in the game. Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali picked 2 wickets each.
The series is currently evenly poised at 1-1 with only one game left to be played. Both teams have performed well but England will obviously have the edge over the former.
