England Test skipper, Joe Root and his wife Carrie welcome their second child. Root, who is missing the Test cricket match against West Indies, took to Instagram to share an adorable picture with the newborn and his son.
“Good luck boys @englandcricket We will be watching and supporting you all the way! #cricketisback,” Joe Root wrote along with the photograph on his Instagram account.
The Englishmen are currently been lead by Ben Stokes as Root stays back with his wife for the childbirth. He will join the team for the further Test matches against the Windies after observing a self-isolation period of seven days.
England won the toss and chose to bat. However, due to bad weather and unexpected rains, the toss was delayed and later on, the match had to be stopped after 17.4 overs. The “new normal” is being followed by both the teams and the series is currently underway at Southampton in a bio-secure environment due to the Covid-19 pandemic outburst.
Root will soon join the team and lead England in the second Test match. It is a bust start of summer for England with back-to-back series against Pakistan and Ireland after this. The talks about limited over series with Australia is under discussion.
Congratulations Joe Root and Carrie Cotterell for embracing parenthood for the second time. We wish the beautiful family happiness and health. Leave your best wishes in the comments below.
