ICC Rankings: International Cricket Council( ICC) has released its latest rankings. The ranking saw changes in which Pakistan players have come on top. Also huge gains for some associate nation players.
From India now KL Rahul is the only batter who is still in ICC T20 batting ranking in the top 10. Whereas Left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi saw some crucial gains in ranking after bowling brilliantly against Australia in the recent series. Shaheen is now placed at 10th place in bowlers ranking in the shortest format Pakistan has also batters to show off the ranking.
Their two top batters are placed in first and third place. Babar Azam who is having dream runs for a time now is placed first by some margin now. And his fellow teammates are now placed in third place.
Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood who did not feature in any game against Pakistan is now placed at no. Three dropping from second place. Adil Rashid is now placed in the second spot.
Dipendra Singh Airee of Nepal improved in all sectors following the conclusion of the tri-series, which also included PNG and Malaysia. He was named Player of the Series after a fantastic all-round performance in the final (54* and 4/18).
He improved 13 places to No.38 among hitters, 47 places to No.135 among bowlers, and ten places to No.10 among all-rounders.
With a brilliant all-round performance against Uganda, JJ Smit of Namibia broke into the top five for T20I all-rounders. He batted first and scored 71 off 35 balls, finishing with scores of 6/10, including a hat-trick.
