The 9th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 is slated to be played between West Indies and England at University Oval Ground on Wednesday. West Indies have made a positive start to their campaign. They won their first game against New Zealand by 3 runs to earn their first points. That win would have given them a lot of confidence. West Indies batted first in that encounter and managed to score 259 runs in the first innings.

The English bowlers were guilty of offering too many ball balls. N Sciver was the pick of the bowlers as she claimed two wickets for 68 runs in 10 overs, while Brunt picked 1 for 54 in 10 overs.
In reply, England fought hard with the bat. Tammy Beaumont played a solid 74-run knock off 82 balls, while Natalie Sciver stayed right till the end. He played an unbeaten knock of 109 runs in 85 balls. However, the likes of Jones, Wyatt failed to impress with the bat. In the end, England fell 12 runs short of the target. Heading into the next game against West Indies, they would be looking to get back to winning ways.
