IND vs ENG Test: Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that India will not give up easily and rather fight on the third day of the third Test in Headingly. India is currently in deep trouble with England leading by 345 runs in the first innings. Joe Root and Co., moreover, still has two wickets in hand.
Aakash Chopra has predicted that India won’t be bowled out on the third day of the Test and will take the fight to the hosts.
“India will lose less than six wickets. So life will be left in the fourth day’s play and it will be enjoyable. You should always expect one thing from this team, that is the fight. This is not the team that is going to throw the towel in and say thank you very much. This team never gives up, never gives in. They bounced back after 36 as well. They will bounce back after 78 also. I am not saying that they can win the match, but you can expect a certain fight,” Chopra said in a video on his Youtube channel.
Further, Chopra stated that Moeen Ali should take two wickets on the third day.
“Moeen Ali can take two wickets, no I feel he will take two Indian wickets.”
Ali bowled just a couple of overs in India’s first innings. With the pitch assisting spinners, Ali could become a threat on the third day.
Cheteshwar Pujara has been enduring a rough patch in his career. In the first innings, he got out after scoring 1 run off 9 balls. Aakash Chopra feels that Pujara will face at least 50 balls in the second innings.
“Pujara will play more than 50 balls, I feel like that. I am not saying more than 50 runs.”
