IND vs SL: Sri Lanka left-handed batsman Bhanuka Rajapaksa has returned to the squad after recovering from his left knee sprain and will be available for selection for the third and the final ODI against India.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa featured in the first two games of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka, which the hosts lost by three wickets and seven wickets, respectively. He scored 24 runs off 22 balls in the first ODI but failed in the second game, getting dismissed for a duck. However, his knee injury had put his availability for the final game in doubt.
After losing the first two games of the series, Sri Lanka would be looking to avert a series white-wash. In the second game, the hosts seemingly had control over the game, however, unbeaten Deepak Chahar (69) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (19) gave a tough fight to save India from losing. They won the game by seven wickets while completing their ninth consecutive win against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has been charged with a fine of 20 per cent of their match fee and one point from their tally in the ICC World Cup Super League for an over-rate offence in the second ODI against India in Colombo on Tuesday.
