India star All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the squad that will play in the India vs England Test series.
England is scheduled to tour India for a four-match Test series commencing from February 5. The teams are also slated to play five T20Is as well as three ODIs.
“He is out of Test series and he will take more than six weeks to recover completely. The selectors will take a call later, whether to include him in the team for the shorter formats,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying.
Jadeja had injured his left thumb during the third Test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Having dislocated his thumb, he underwent surgery in Sydney. However, the BCCI informed that the all-rounder requires six-weeks or more to recover. Jadeja will now be traveling to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for rehabilitation.
