England batsman Liam Livingstone has hurt his shoulder while playing in the County Championship fixture for Lancashire on Monday, which caused him to be replaced by Richard Gleeson. While diving near the boundary rope, he has injured his shoulder. His injury might rule him out of the second leg of IPL 2021. Liam Livingstone is an integral part of the Rajasthan Royals team.
His great run of form could keep the team in good stead. Rajasthan Royals has already suffered a lot of setbacks with injuries to Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes. Jos Buttler recently made himself unavailable for the second leg of the tournament. Add to that, Livingstone’s injury would give them more pain and might well ruin their chances of making the playoffs.
“More Red Rose injury woe as Liam Livingstone appears to have damaged a shoulder diving to stop a boundary. He’s gone off the field and is replaced by Richard Gleeson”, wrote Lancashire Cricket on Twitter.
Liam Livingstone is currently in the form of his life. He was sensational in The Hundred 2021 tournament. He finished the tournament as the highest run-getter, scoring 348 runs at an average of 58 and a strike rate of 178.46, including 27 sixes. He helped the team reach the final of the tournament.
