There appears to be no end in sight for CSK’s troubles in the ongoing IPL 2022. So far the team has lost both the games and besides that, the team is also dealing with player injuries. English pacer Chris Jordan has been admitted to hospital, while Adam Milne is also wounded from an injury.
The defending champions CSK has had a rough start this season. Moreover, MS Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy just before the league handed it over to Ravindra Jadeja. So far under his leadership, the team lost their first match against Kolkata Knight Riders and the second by 6 wickets even after scoring 210 runs against Lucknow Super Giants.
Jordan is currently fighting a tonsil infection and was hospitalized in a Mumbai hospital on March 26th, where he stayed for six days hence, not being able to be a part of the first two matches. He will need a day or two more to recover completely and get back on the field.
Adam Milne, on the other side, played in the opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders before being injured and missing the match against Lucknow Super Giants. Deepak Chahar is also currently absent from the team due to an injury he suffered last month while playing against West Indies for India in a bilateral series.
This leaves CSK under pressure as it has no pacer to field in their playing 11. The team faced LSG (Lucknow Super Giants) with two inexperienced pacers: Tushar Deshpande and Mukesh Chowdhury. Tushar and Mukesh bowled 7.3 over for 79 runs. However, the team is left with no choice because of player injuries and hence has to go ahead with these 2 only in the upcoming match against Punjab Kings on 3rd April, Sunday.
