Indian batsman Karun Nair has finally recovered from coronavirus and all set to join his IPL team Kings XI Punjab.
Nair had tested positive of the deadly virus and he immediately put himself into self-isolation. But now the 28-year-old has tested negative and ready to join the team camp next week. But he will still have to undergo three tests with negative reports as mandated by the team management.
Kings XI Punjab will fly to the UAE on August 20. Nair will be taking the charter flight from Bangalore which will then take the rest of the team from Delhi before heading off to Dubai.
Nair has played only 14 matches for the franchise and scored 306 runs in 2018 & 2019 season of the IPL with a strike rate of 134.80.
The batsman was the first-ever player in IPL to test positive for the coronavirus. Yesterday, Rajasthan Royals also announced their fielding coach Dishant Yagnik tested positive of the virus.
Dubai Sports Complex is taking the biosecurity bubble protocol seriously and they will only allow players with the COVID-19 negative medical report of the last 96 hours.
