Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday (September 14) that the Pakistan Men’s team would be travelling to Bangladesh for a three-match T20 Internationals and two ICC World Test Championship matches after the completion of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
It will be Pakistan’s first tour to Bangladesh in five years. The tour forms part of the Future Tours Programme and is set to take place at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium starting with the T20I series, the first match of which will be staged on November 19. The series will conclude on November 22.
The action will then shift to Chattogram for the Test series. The first of the two Tests will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from 26-30 November. It will be the first Test face-off between the two teams in Bangladesh since 2015. The last time they squared off against each other in a Test cricket match, Pakistan crushed Bangladesh by a mammoth 328 runs. The second and final Test will then take place in Dhaka from December 4.
Bangladesh has not started their Test campaign of the next ICC World Test Championship cycle yet. On the other hand, Pakistan rests in second place in the ICC World Test Championship points table after winning one of the two matches they have played so far.
The team is yet to announce the squad and the date of the departure of the Pakistan squad.
