Pakistan team on Wednesday released three batsmen Abid Ali, Imam Ul Haq and Haris Sohail from the squad ahead of T20I series.
The three batsmen were named in the ODI squad against the home series against Zimbabwe after the conclusion of ODI series against Zimbabwe. These players played in all three ODI matches and also won the series by 2-1 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The ODI series was also a part of ICC World Cup Super League, serving as the qualification for the 2023 World Cup in India.
While Pakistan won the first two ODIs, Zimbabwe won the final game in a super over thriller and ended the series on 2-1.
Both the teams will now engage in a three-match T20I series at the Pindi Cricket Stadium starting November 7.
After releasing three players, the team consisting of other 19 players will start preparing for the T20I series to take place on November 7, 8 and 10 respectively.
