Pakistan vs Bangladesh, 1st Test Match Preview: After losing the T20 series by a 3-0 margin, Bangladesh will look to make amends in the upcoming two-match Test against Pakistan. The first Test is slated to be played from 26th November to 30th November at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Mominul Haque will lead the side for Bangladesh. Sadly, a few prominent names won’t be seen in the series. Mahmudullah Riyad has called time on his international cricket career, while Tamim Iqbal continues to recover from his thumb injury. Shakib Al Hasan has been added to the team, however, his fitness is under the scanner at the moment. Shakib’s fitness will be monitored ahead of the start of the first Test.
Mushfiqur Rahim will have the onus of doing the heavy-lifting for the batting line-up. The likes of Shabnam Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto are likely to face the new ball. As far as bowling is concerned, Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan will be the ones to look out for.
Pakistan, on the other hand, would be high on confidence after registering a 3-0 win. Babar Azam will continue to lead the side. He endured poor numbers in the recent series and would look to make a strong comeback with the bat. The presence of Azhar Ali, Abid Ali, Fawad Alam, and M Rizwan makes it a formidable batting unit. As for the bowling, the likes of Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah should keep the team in good stead.
