Earlier, RCB roped in Wanindu Hasaranga as the replacement for Adam Zampa. The Sri Lankan spinner has been in scintillating form and his addition to the side would strengthen the bowling unit. Besides, Tim David and Dushmantha Chameera have also been added to the squad. Players namely Adam Zampa, Daniel Sams and Kane Richardson and Fin Allen won’t be available for the remainder of the season.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently sitting at the third position on the points table with 5 wins in 7 games. They would be keen to start their UAE campaign with a win when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders in their 8th game on 20th September 2021. Their overseas batsmen namely Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers are in great form which should keep the team in good stead. Maxwell has 223 runs in 7 games, while De Villiers has notched 207 runs in 7 matches at an average of 51.75.
