RCB vs LSG Live Score: The Royal Challengers Bangalore have put in a stellar all-round performance with bat and ball to register their fifth win in IPL 2022 on Wednesday at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy. Bangalore beat Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs on Wednesday to jump to the second spot on the points table.
Batting first, RCB didn’t get off to a great start as Chameera accounted for the wickets of Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli in the first over of the innings. Maxwell and Faf du Plessis then did the rebuilding but Maxwell got out after scoring 23 off 11 balls. However, the skipper Faf du Plessis held firm and played till the last over of the innings.
He played a sensational knock of 96 runs in 64 balls and guided the team to a 181-run run total at the end of the first innings. For Lucknow Super Giants, Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 2 for 25 in 4 overs. Krunal Pandya (1 fo 29) also made impressive returns.
In reply, Lucknow Super Giants too didn’t make a great start. Quinton de Kock never looked settled in the middle as he got out after scoring just 3 runs in 5 balls. Manish Pandey too got out early. KL Rahul then joined hands with Krunal Pandya and the duo added 31 runs for the third wicket before the KL Rahul, unfortunately, got out off Harshal Patel after scoring 30 off 24 balls.
Krunal Pandya, however, held firm and played a vital knock of 42 runs in 28 balls but he too couldn’t convert the start into a big score. The likes of Deepak Hooda, and Ayush Badoni were also guilty of not converting the start into big scores. Marcus Stoinis (24 off 15) kept the hopes alive till the 18th over. However, once he got out in the 19th over, it was all but over for Lucknow.
For RCB, Josh Hazlewood starred with the ball as he claimed sensational figures of 4 for 25 in 4 overs. While skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 96 runs lifted the RCB vs LSG Man of the Match award.
