RCB vs RR IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in the 39th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday. Royal Challengers Bangalore would be looking to forget the memories of their last match’s defeat. Against a solid bowling unit from SRH, Faf du Plessis and Co. were bundled out for just 68 runs in the first innings.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
None of the batsmen delivered with the bat. The likes of Faf du Plessis (5 off 7), Kohli (0 of 1), and Maxwell (12 off 11) all failed to deliver. The skipper played a match-winning knock against Lucknow. He along with Maxwell is in good touch with the bat and the duo is expected to come good on Tuesday. However, their biggest worry would be Virat Kohli’s lean run in the tournament.
There could be a chance that he might be rested in the next game. With the ball, the onus will be on the likes of Josh Hazlewood and Harshal Patel to pick the bulk of the wickets.
Rajasthan Royals:
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are flying high in the tournament. In seven matches, they have managed to secure five wins and, thus, are sitting at number three on the points table. Jos Buttler is the man in form and has played the biggest role behind the Royals’ success. He scored his third ton of this season in the last game and helped the team reach a mammoth score of 222 runs in the first innings. The likes of Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer also playing pretty well and are expected to come good on Tuesday.
Rajasthan later restricted Delhi to 207 in the last game. Ashwin and Yuvzendra Chahal are doing great and, once again, these two will be crucial to the team’s fortune. Prasidh Krishna bowled an exceptional spell of 3 for 22 in 4 overs. He too will be a player to watch out for.
