Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has fallen into the hands of a controversy. His recent remarks on embracing the culture of Chennai hasn’t gone down well with the fans. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player recently made an appearance in the opening game of the fifth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). He did commentary in the game along with others. A fellow commentator asked him about his connection with Chennai, to which the southpaw said,
“I think, I am also Brahmin. I have been playing since 2004 in Chennai, I love the culture… I love my teammates. I have played with Anirudha Srikanth, Badri (Subramaniam Badrinath), Bala Bhai (L Balaji)… I think you need to learn something good from there. We have a good administration, we have the license to explore ourselves. I love the culture there, and I’m lucky to be part of CSK. Hopefully, we will play more matches there.”Suresh Raina
This didn’t go down too well with the fans. They expressed their displeasure while calling him out on Twitter.
