Dinesh Karthik has been making headlines of late, not for his batting prowess but his impressive commentary skills. The Indian wicket-keeper batsman has impressed one and all with his insights behind the mic. After doing commentary in the WTC final and England tour of India, Dinesh Karthik is set to make his debut in ‘The Hundred’ ahead of the first Men’s game between Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals.
He will be joined by several prominent figures such as Nasser Hussain, Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff among others. Karthik will remain part of the Sky Sports coverage when Oval Invincibles take on Manchester Originals in the Men’s opener.
Earlier, Dinesh Karthik shared of picture of his on Twitter while on coverage for ‘The Hundred’. The netizens loved the way he was dressed up. Karthik didn’t make his commentary debut in the first game, however, he was covering the game on the sidelines.
The first Men’s game of ‘The Hundred’ will start on Thursday.’ Presenters such as Andrew Flintoff, Kass Naidoo, Zainab Abbas, and Jacqueline Shepherd will lead the coverage for Sky Sports. Karthik will be among the cricket stars who join in along with Stuart Broad, Kevin Pietersen, Tammy Beaumont, Daren Sammy, Mel Jones, Wasim Akram, Lydia Greenway, and Kumar Sangakkara. Sky Sports regulars Nasser Hussain, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Rob Key, Ian Ward, David Lloyd, Nick Knight, Mike Atherton, and Mark Butcher will also be on commentary duty for the tournament.
‘The Hundred’ tournament began with a mouth-watering women’s game between Oral Invincibles and Manchester Originals held at the Kia Oval in front of a passionate 7,400 spectators in attendance. Oral Invincibles chased down 135 runs in 98 balls to win the first game of the tournament.
