Ahead of the Vijay Hazare knockout games, Karnataka has received a significant boost. Senior players Manish Pandey and Krishnappa Gowtham have been included in the squad. Both the players will remain available for the knockouts game. Manish Pandey, who was nursing an injury, has been recovered fully.
On the other hand, K Gowtham has also been released from his duties as a net bowler by the Indian Cricket Team. The inclusion of both players is likely to bolster the squad. They will replace D. Nischal and Shubhang Hegde in the Karnataka squad.
Karnataka has performed brilliantly in the tournament thus far. They have won 4 out of their 5 leagues games and thus topped the Elite group C. All the league games have been completed. The next match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy will see Uttrakhand against Delhi in the Eliminator match.
As far as the other groups are concerned, Gujarat has topped Group A with 5 wins in as many matches. Andhra emerged as the winners of all teams placed in Group B. They won 3 games out of 5. Mumbai have been unbeaten in the tournament, winning all five they have played thus far. They topped the Group D of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Saurashtra emerged at the top in Group E with 4 wins in 5 matches, while Uttrakhand topped the plate Group, having not lost a single game out of 5 matches they have played thus far.
