KKR’s latest recruit, Harbhajan Singh completed his seven-day mandatory quarantine on Saturday. In the latest video posted by KKR on its Twitter handle, the Indian off-spinner can be seen checking out of the hotel room and joining his teammates for the IPL preparations.
The Indian off-spinner is heard saying in the video:
“I am out because my results are out and I have to go to practice.”
Ahead of IPL 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders bought the services of Harbhajan Singh at his base price of INR 2 crores. This will be the first time when Harbhajan Singh would be playing for KKR in his IPL career. The 40-year old was earlier part of the Chennai Super Kings squad. However, after opting out of the tournament in the last season, the franchise released him before the auctions.
Harbhajan Singh, so far, has played 160 matches in the Indian Premier League, taking 150 wickets at an average of 26.44 and an economy of 7.05.
Harbhajan Singh, recently, expressed his profound love towards Kolkata. Harbhajan Singh became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in Tests at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
“When we talk about Kolkata, I get goosebumps. Everything about the city takes me back, reminds me of Eden 2001. In Test cricket, I have always taken a 5-wicket haul. Even if I am not in form, if I go to Kolkata, I regain form. That’s the blessings of Kaali Ma and the love from the people. There is some power that keeps me motivated in Kolkata. Thank you for all the support from the Bengali people. I have always said Kolkata is like another home for me.“
