WI vs BAN: West Indies have made an outstanding start to the second Test match between West Indies and Bangladesh. West Indies Cricket Team bundled out Bangladesh for just 234 runs in the first innings.
Tamim Iqbal looked assured at the crease and played a good knock of 46 runs in 67 balls. He couldn’t convert that into a big score. The other batters, such as Shanto (26 off 73), and Anamul (23 off 33), were also guilty of not converting the starts into big scores.
Liton Das, however, played a pretty good knock of 53 runs in 70 balls. As a result, Bangladesh was bundled out for just 234 runs at the end of the first innings. For West Indies, Jayden Seales and Alarri Joseph both picked 3 wickets each, while the likes of Anderson Philip and K Mayers picked two each.
In reply, West Indies have made a pretty good start with the bat. K Brathwaite and J Campbell have put on a 100-run stand for the opening wicket. John Campbell got out after scoring 45 runs in 78 balls but K Brathwaite is still unbeaten on 47 off 100 deliveries. R Riefer, on the other hand, is also unbeaten on 20 off 29 balls.
At the time of writing, West Indies are currently trailing by 109 runs. West Indies won the first Test by 7 wickets and would be looking to win the second Test as well.
They bundled out West Indies for just 103 runs on the board at the end of the first innings. West Indies then made 265 runs in the second innings and bundled Bangladesh out for 245 runs in the third innings. West Indies later chased down 88 runs with 7 wickets in hand.
