England batsmen Ollie Pope and Rory Burns have changed their respective teams for the inaugural edition of ‘The Hundred’ tournament.

The Hundred tournament was initially supposed to be held in 2020 but it was postponed to 2021 due to coronavirus pandemic.

Ollie Pope left his team Southern Brave and moved to Welsh Fire while Burns left London Spirit. The ECB permitted Burns’ move as a reallocation of England’s test players. Pope also replaces Jonny Bairstow in the Welsh Fire.

The ECB also confirmed Zak Crawley’s acquisition by the London Spirit for £40,000 as the replacement of Rory Burns.  The apex body also confirmed the veteran duo Stuart Broad and James Anderson won’t take part in the Hundred tournament.

Dom Sibley who remained unsigned during 2020 also bagged the contract following a good run with the England test team. He has now signed the contract with Birmingham Phoenix for the tournament in 2021.

A total of 18 players have so far confirmed their move to new teams for the 100 tournament- Eight of which are women players while the rest 10 are men cricketers.

Earlier, the ECB had permitted the contract roll-over for the women cricketers till the next year for the Hundred tournament.
