PAK vs NZ: The fourth match of the ongoing tri-series will have New Zealand take on Pakistan on Tuesday at Hagley Oval. New Zealand registered their first win in the series after beating Bangladesh on Sunday. An all-round bowling performance helped them restrict Bangladesh to 137 runs.

As many as four bowlers, namely Boult, Southee, Sodhi and Bracewell returned with four wickets each. While the pacers did well in the power play as well as in death overs, the spinners were brilliant in the middle period of the game. Regular fall of wickets never allowed Bangladesh to switch gears and change momentum.

New Zealand chased down the score pretty easily in 17.5 overs. Devon Conway, who fell cheaply against Pakistan, starred with the bat as he smashed 70 off 50 balls. Williamson played as a second fiddle to him, amassing 30 off 29. Heading into the next game, New Zealand would be confident of beating Pakistan on Tuesday.

Pakistan, though, would be brimming with confidence after having registered two consecutive wins. Babar Azam returned to form in Pakistan’s last game. In pursuit of a 148-run total, the skipper played a match-winning knock of 79 runs in 53 balls. M Rizwan too is in pretty good touch.

However, middle-order is still a big concern for the team. How they will perform would be pretty interesting to see. As for the bowling attack. Haris Rauf will continue to be their biggest bet. He was the star with the ball in the last match, picking 3 for 28. M Wasim Jr. also bowled extremely well for his figures of 2 for 20 in 4 overs.

Both teams are coming off a win and thus can expect the upcoming game to be a cracker of a contest.
