Pakistan National cricket team’s veteran player and luminary all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez turned 40 today.

Hafeez, who garnered the nickname “The Professor”, owing to his inquisitive nature and intelligent approach to the game, is one of the most successful players to be ever produced by Pakistan.

He is known for his versatility and proficiency in off-break bowling. He is a destructive batsman who usually opens up the game with terrific shots but is efficiently capable of playing in the defensive style as per requirement.

His acrobatic fielding, along with his batting and bowling excellence, makes him a complete player and a topliner all-rounder.

The Professor has been one of the longest-serving cricketers in Pakistan cricket with a career spanning 17 years now. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2003 and went on to play 218 ODI matches in his prosperous career.

While he has featured in 94 T20I matches and scored 2147 runs and chipped in 54 wickets. He continues to play for Pakistan in the limited-overs format.
