The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams have come to an agreement to settle down disputes outside court.

Earlier, the franchise owners had filed a lawsuit against the PCB over the financial model of the league, devoiding them of profits. The owners had solicited the board to change the financial model but the PCB overlooked their demands from season one itself.

As per the petition, the court had redirected the PCB to “formally redress the grievances of all franchises and revise the model of PSL in accordance with its statutory mandate and make it financially viable”.

In defense, the PCB said they were constantly offering to address their grievances and also approached the owners to settle things outside court.

“PCB has a statutory duty under the Sports Ordinance 1962 to promote and develop the sports and all its measures should be in conformity to the said purpose including the franchise arrangements and other structures.” the PCB said in a statement.
