PSL 6: Karachi Kings appoint Dougie Brown as their assistant coach

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings have roped in the United Arab Emirates national team Head Coach Dougie Brown and appointed him as the Assistant Coach of the team for the sixth season of the tournament. The franchise made the announcement on their official Twitter handle.

The Kings tweeted, “The dynamic Dougie Brown, Head Coach of the Emirates Cricket team is now a King, joining as Assistant Coach. Dougie, welcome to the #KingsFamily!”

Brown has a rich experience of coaching. He took up the role of the UAE team Head Coach in 2017 and went on to mentor them for three years. He has also served as the coach of the Namibian team during the 2003 World cup. Playing one game as an overseas player, he also coached the domestic team of South Africa for one-day cricket during 2002-2003.

the former Scottish cricketer has played for the England team (between 1997 and 1998), as well the Scotland. He has played 25 ODIs and 2 T20Is during his career as a player.

The PSL defenders, who defeated Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium last season, earlier also announced the appointment of Herschelle Gibbs as their Head Coach.

the upcoming season of PSL is all set to roll out from February 20.
