REN vs HUR Match Prediction: Melbourne Renegades will be taking on Hobart Hurricanes in the 32nd match of the Big Bash League 2022 on Saturday at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne.

The Renegades have had a hot and cold season this year. They have managed to secure 4 wins out of 8 matches so far in the competition. They are coming into this game on the back of a morale-boosting 33-run win over Melbourne Stars.

Melbourne Renegades

Melbourne Renegades batted first in that encounter and managed to score 141 runs in the first innings. Guptill produced a fiery start as he notched 32 runs in 27 deliveries, a knock that was laced with 2 fours and 1 six.

Shaun Marsh wouldn’t be too happy with his batting performance, though. He played an uncharacteristic knock of 32 runs in 35 balls. However, Renegades managed to reach a decent score in the end, thanks to valuable contributions from Wells and Harvey, who made 24 off 18 and 32 off 23 respectively.

The Renegades were nothing short of outstanding with the ball. They restricted the Melbourne Stars to just 108 runs in the second innings. Tom Rogers ran through the Stars’ top order, as he sent back the likes of Joe Clarke (0), Thomas Rogers (1), and Webster (8) on single-digit scores.

He ended up picking a five-wicket haul, thereby helping the team win the game comfortably. Heading into the next game, he will be a player to watch out for.

Hobart Hurricanes

On the other hand, Hobart Hurricanes have had a rather forgettable season this year. In 7 matches, they have only managed to secure two wins and, thus, are languishing at second from the bottom of the points table. However, they would be riding on confidence after having managed to secure a 15-run win over Sydney Sixers.

Brisbane Heat notched a gigantic score of 224 runs in the first innings against the Sixers. The likes of Josh Brown (62 off 23) and McSweeney (84 off 51) wreaked havoc with the bat and set the foundation for a big score.

Later, they bundled out the Sixers to 209 runs in the second innings. Michael Neser picked three wickets, while the likes of Steketee, Whiteley, and Kuhnemann picked two wickets each.
