Veteran New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor and Proteas paceman Morne Morkel are set to feature in the upcoming edition of Legends League Cricket. The organizers confirmed that Taylor, Morkel along with Lance Klusener will participate in the second season of the league.
The inaugural season of Legends League Cricket gained a tremendous response and the fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming edition. The second season of the league will be held from 20th September to 10th October 2022.
With the addition of Taylor, Morkel and Klusener, the tally of icons at the Legends League Cricket 2 has crossed the half-century mark. We can expect the addition of a few more international stalwarts in the coming days.
Many legendary cricketers including Mohammed Kaif, Dale Steyn, Brett Lee, Jacques Kallis, Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Yousuf Pathan, Shane Watson, Muttiah Muralitharan, RP Singh, Stuart Binny and S Badrinath had confirmed their participation.
In his statement, legends League Cricket CEO Raman Raheja said he is overwhelmed to receive such an outstanding response and participation of veteran cricket stars. He further added that the second edition of LLC will be conducted across four cities and the venue will be finalised soon.
The inaugural edition of Legends League Cricket saw massive participation of legendary cricketers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and Australia. The players were divided into three contingents namely India Maharajas, Asia Lions and World Giants.
The fans thoroughly enjoyed watching their favourite cricketers back on the field. World Giants stood as the winners of the first season whereas Asia Lions were the runners-up. It will be exciting to find out the squads and the teams for the upcoming season.
