SCO vs HEA Live Score: The Perth Scorchers continued their impressive run in the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League as they registered 7th win on Wednesday. Ashton Turner’s team beat Brisbane Heat by 8 wickets to take the top spot on the points table.
The Scorchers restricted Brisbane Heat to just 155 runs in the first innings. Khawaja couldn’t live up to his potential as he amassed 28 off 23 balls, while Josh Brown (18 off 13) failed to convert the start into a big score.
Labuschagne (10 off 9) also got out cheaply as Brisbane Heat failed to make a good start in the first half of the innings. The likes of Renshaw (27 off 21), Peirson (26 off 25), and Max Bryant (36 off 27) tried to up the ante but all fell just when it looked like they would up the ante.
Hardie-Inglis take the Scorchers to a cruising victory
As for the Perth Scorchers’ bowling attack, Behrendorff returned with outstanding figures of 3 for 21 in 4 overs. M Kelly also picked two wickets while conceding 17 runs in 2 overs.
In reply, the Scorchers too were guilty of not making a great start in the power play. Openers, Eskinazi (11) and Bancroft (6) fell cheaply as the Scorchers were reeling at 25 for 2 in 4 overs. However, Brisbane Heat couldn’t pick a single wicket, after that, as Aaron Hardie and Josh Inglis put in a match-winning partnership of 132 runs to guide the team home in just 16.2 overs.
Hardie played an unbeaten knock of 65 runs in 45 balls, while Josh Inglis was equally brilliant with his knock of 67 runs in 35 deliveries.
